Cali Update
Hey all,
long time no talk. I'm at work right now so I can't write much. Here is a brief update as to what is happening in Cali. Over the last 6 months or so I decided to leave the restaurant industry and pursue other opportunities. I now work for a media relations company that publishes a half a dozen industry newsletters, books, and periodicals; the most famous of which is called The Bulldog Reporter. I am mostly doing research into the happenings of media personnel, but I am also doing some writing, editing, and layout of various web-based Zines. It sounds more glamorous than it really is. I mostly spend my day behind a computer emailing and writing for my other blog (http://mikebillings.blogspot.com).
I have a new girlfriend named Lisa that you will all meet at this year's game. We've been together since the middle of October. I met her while looking for a new roommate. I put an ad up, she answered, she moved in, we started dating within days! Not a situation I would necessarily recommend, but it's working for us.
We recently got a 7 week old pit bull puppy named Lola and, if she's mature enough, we might bring her with us.
Josh has been doing well. He moved in with us last month (this is the 5th time we've lived together) and it's been great. The house is a little crowded, but we all get along really well. HE is really dedicated to school right now so we don't see him very much. I'll leave his update to him (I'm sure he'll write in this blog soon).
I am starting school again in early June at San Francisco State. My major is called MRI (Music & Recording Industry) and it should take me about two more years. After that I am looking forward to starting my own record label.
I am also in a new band called Red Shift and we'll be playing our first show on April 13th in Oakland. I am trying to figure out a way to post a tune on here. I think I'll be able to do it in the next couple of weeks.
If you are interested in keeping up with this blog and posting in it as well, let me know when you sign on and I'll add you as an "administrator" so you can post as much as you want as well. Right now there are 4 of us: me, Josh, Jeromie, and James.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
-Mike
